Resignation of PCERA Director

Erika Techera, the former Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Australia, is to vacate her position on the board of PCERA. The board would like to thank her for her very significant contribution, her wise and generous support in developing PCERA’s presence among the legal, energy and resources sectors. Erika’s knowledge and expertise in international and comparative law were valued and consistent with PCERA’s objectives. We wish her well in her future endeavours.

The board is pleased to announce Erika’s successor Dr Natalie Skead, Associate Professor and Dean of the Law School at the University of Western Australia. Dr Skead holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa where she practiced law from 1990 specialising in corporate finance and securities.

Dr Skead joined the UWA Law School in 2002. She completed her doctorate on the confiscation of proceeds of crime at UWA and publishes extensively in areas of private law, confiscation of proceeds of crime and legal education. Dr Skead has won numerous faculty and university teaching and research awards and was awarded a national citation for her outstanding contribution to student learning in law in 2011.
